The Dallas premiere is only the beginning for One in 3. The National Network of Abortions Funds plans to sponsor a national tour of the play to major cities across the U.S. The rights to the script, scenery, and film will be released to the Network, which will also make them available for translation into other languages and for independent productions in other cities. With this expanded platform, One in 3 has the potential to generate a new national dialogue around abortion, shifting the conversation from the political controversy to the personal reality.

The Texas Voices, Collin County’s first professional chamber chorus, continues its sixth season of public concerts with a holiday concert called In Terra Pax on Dec. 19, 2008.
“And on earth, peace” is one of the most resounding messages of the Christmas story. It transcends turbulent times, offering hope to the world. Let the tranquility of Bach’s Dona Nobis Pacem and Sametz’s Peace on Earth calm and soothe the spirit. This concert also features Gloria from Hayden’s Heiligmesse, Christmas spirituals, and a new work from Composer-in-Residence Debra Scroggins. A holiday silent auction precedes the concert.

Architect J. Wilson Fuqua and landscape architect Warren Johnson will make remarks at 3 p.m. The Big House was the site of many historical events, both of state and national import.
